To accelerate innovation in the smart biomedical sector and promote resource integration within the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the Hsinchu Science Park Bureau, in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Accelerator Network (AAN) and National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, successfully hosted the Smart Biomedical Investment & Business Matchmaking Conference. This event aimed to provide biomedical startups with funding, expertise, and market connections, assisting them in gaining a competitive edge in the dynamic biomedical market.

The event commenced with opening remarks from Dr. Lin Bo-Heng, Secretary General of AAN, emphasizing the significance of the smart biomedical field in future industrial development. Subsequently, eight biomedical startups delivered compelling pitches, covering various domains such as biotechnology, medical devices, and health data, including:

  • HoneyCare – Developer of fall detection devices for the elderly
  • MedFluid – Global leader in microfluidic technology solutions
  • Locus Connect – Provider of fast, accurate, 3D indoor positioning services
  • CytoArmed – Platform for cancer and autoimmune disease treatment
  • 光稷科技 – High-sensitivity, miniaturized, portable in-vitro diagnostic products
  • Taiwan Intelligent Pollutant Sensing – Smart gas sensing chips and systems
  • P-Square – Developer of indoor positioning technologies
  • Stalwart Elite Technology – Focused on plasma medical technology, developing handheld devices for chronic wound care

Following the presentations, participants engaged in lively one-on-one matchmaking sessions.
